Wow where to begin, for anyone who enjoys the show and Mutta and Hibito you will not be dissapointed.
The movie is a emotional one and the cinema we watched the movie in did not have a dry eye at end. You will see a lot of old faces and a few new ones and Papa Nanba is at his finest again!.
This is set a year before the show begins and is a Hibito based story with Mutta beginning to realise he has made the wrong choice in life yet it show’s Mutta at his best, a guy who can change people around him and suceed at anything he wishes with enough effort and a geniune human being with flaws.
You will here familiar music and a familiar soundtrack and it follows on perfectly with the beginning of the show with the credits being the first episode of the show.
FEEL SO MOON! After this movie :) You damn right I do!
headcanon that hibito has mild dyslexia (or possibly even stealth dyslexia, which he managed to compensate for through tons of hard work and alternative coping methods), what with all his spelling errors and randomly dropping out words and stuff. i think of him as being slower in reading and writing, but is good at conversation. it’s one of the reasons why he didn’t excel during written tests as an ascan (remember all those books and flying manuals?), landing him deneil as his instructor. and it’s also the reason why he prefers to do things hands-on right away. reading is just really mentally exhausting for him.
i also imagine that he sounds the most fluent in english out of all the fictional japanese astronauts (sounds like this). the only exception to that would be serika, who sounds like a native speaker (sounds closer to this). the rest of the japanese astronauts would have more recognisable accents (like this).
